Financial Literacy

April is Financial Literacy Month – and Advancing Communities remains committed to showcasing how our credit unions continue to help build our local economies by empowering people with the tools and resources to establish and maintain healthy financial habits.

Low-income communities, people of color, and rural populations are more likely to struggle with their financial health than other groups. Many credit unions across the state offer a variety of personalized counseling, education classes, and products that help members understand their unique financial situation and create a plan to attain their goals. The proactive Advancing Communities initiative and credit union stories are brought to you by the National Advocacy Fund (NAF). Thank you to all who have contributed in defense of credit unions everywhere!
